LESSON PLANS

 

 

The Sabine Parish School Board shall require the development of lesson plans by each teacher.  Lesson plans shall be developed for each day of instruction and for a period of at least one (1) week, or five (5) instructional days, in advance.  It shall be the responsibility of each principal to see that the teachers under his/her supervision prepare lesson plans.  Supervisors of instruction shall be available to assist teachers in developing effective and acceptable plans when this service is requested.

 

Effective lesson plans for instruction shall:

 

  1. specify learner outcomes in clear concise objectives

  2. include activity/activities that develop objectives

  3. include modifications for individual differences

  4. identify supplementary materials as needed for lessons

  5. state method(s) of evaluation to measure learner outcomes

  6. reflect the program and services specified in the IEP, ITP, and/or IFSP (For SPED teachers only)

 

Lesson plans shall be available for inspection by the principal and other supervisory personnel.  The Superintendent shall instruct principals to review lesson plans on a weekly basis.
