PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

The Sabine Parish School Board recognizes the right of its professional staff members to join and take part in professional associations of their own choosing whose purposes are to promote professional growth.

Absence from work for the purpose of taking part in activities of professional organizations shall require Board approval.  Therefore, staff members who accept association offices and/or duties which will require their absence from school during working hours, or which otherwise will encroach upon the time they normally spend on their regular assignments, are advised to seek Board approval before accepting such association offices or duties.
