1.    Meeting Opening:

 

The Parish School Board of Many, Louisiana, Sabine Parish, met in a regular public session on June 10, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. at 265 Middle Creek Road, Many, Louisiana, with the following members present:  Kowonno Greene, Board President; Stacy Alford, Everett Guidry, Josh Jenkins, Donald Remedies, and Terrell Snelling.

 

Absent:  Dr. Leah Byles, Dale Skinner and John Stewart, Board Vice President

 

President Kowonno Greene called the meeting to order.  Josh Jenkins gave the invocation.  Mr. Greene led the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

2.    Recognition of Visitors:

 

No visitors were recognized.

 

3.    Consent Agenda:

 

On motion by Donald Remedies and second by Josh Jenkins, it was carried to approve the Consent Agenda as follows:

 

A.   Approve and adopt Regular Board Meeting Minutes of May 13, 2024;

B.   Approve SPED Camera Budget;

C.   Approve Memorandum of Understanding Academic Year 2024/2025 between NSU and SPSB;

D.   Approve Amended 2024-2025 School Board Meeting Dates;

E.   Approve and adopt Revised Early Childhood Health, Nutrition, and Safety Facilitator job description;

F.    Approve and adopt Consent Agenda Items 3A-3F.

 

4.    Regular Agenda Items:

 

A.   On motion by Everett Guidry and second by Donald Remedies, it was carried to award and approve Food Service Bids for July 2024 through June 2025 as recommended by the Food Service Coordinator as follows:

 

1.    Frozen food, Bread and Meat Bid award to---SYSCO

2.    Dry goods bid award to---LAMM

3.    Ice cream bid award to---SYSCO

4.    Fresh Produce bid award to---William George

5.    Milk and Juice bid award to---Hiland Dairy Foods

6.    Paper and cleaning bid award to---LAMM

 

B.   On motion by Josh Jenkins and second by Stacy Alford, it was carried to authorize the Superintendent to enter a Pipeline Servitude, Easement, and Right of Way Agreement with New Generation Gas Gathering LLC.

 

C.   On motion by Terrell Snelling and second by Stacy Alford, it was carried to authorize the Superintendent to enter Supplemental Agreement to Pipeline Servitude, Easement, and Right of Way Agreement with New Generation Gas Gathering LLC.

 

D.   On motion by Donald Remedies and second by Josh Jenkins, it was carried to Transition dental coverage for SPSB Employees from Aflac Dental to Always Care effective July 1, 2024.

 

E.   On motion by Stacy Alford and second by Everett Guidry, it was carried to authorize the Superintendent to sign engagement letter with Kolder, Slaven & Company LLC to perform LLA Statewide Agreed-Upon Procedures review during annual fiscal audit.

 

5.    Superintendent’s Report:
