1.             Meeting Opening:

The Parish School Board of Many, Louisiana, Sabine Parish, met in a regular called public session on December 13, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. at 695 Peterson Street, Many, Louisiana, with the following members present:  Terrell Snelling, Board President; Dr. Leah Byles, Board Vice President; Daron Chandler, Genevieve Gordon, Donald Garcie, Donald Remedies.

Absent:  Spencer Faust, Kowonno Greene and Dale Skinner

The meeting was called to order by President Terrell Snelling.  Rodney Wilson gave the invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance was rendered.

2.     Recognition of Visitors:

No visitors were recognized at this time.

3.      Consent Agenda:

On motion by Daron Chandler and seconded by Donald Garcie, it was carried to approve the Consent Agenda as follows:

A.    Approve and adopt Board Meeting Minutes of November 8, 2021

B.    Approve and adopt the following policies (first reading):

1.     DJE – Purchasing

2.     DJED – Bids and Quotations

3.     GBRHA – Sabbatical Leave

4.     GBRIB – Sick Leave

5.     IHAD – Parent Conferences

6.     JG – Student Welfare

7.     JQE – Expectant and Parenting Students

C.    Approve and adopt Consent Agenda Items 3A-3C.

4.     Regular Agenda Items:

A.    Debbie Lee, Director of Federal Services addressed the Board and presented them with the latest SPS and DPS scores.

B.    On motion by Donald Remedies and seconded by Daron Chandler, it was carried to approve Bus Usage and Hold Harmless Agreement with St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

C.    On motion by Genevieve Gordon and seconded by Dr. Leah Byles, it was carried to Approve 2021-2022 LOSFA/LA GEAR Up contract Amendment and Budget.

D.    On motion by Dr. Leah Byles, and seconded by Donald Garcie, it was carried to approve 2021-2022 Region 6 PBIS Interagency Agreement and Budget.

E.    On motion by Dr. Leah Byles and seconded by Genevieve Gordon, it was carried to authorize School Board President to sign an Amendment to Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with the Town of Many.

F.    On motion by Genevieve Gordon and seconded by Dr. Leah Byles, it was carried to approve and authorize the Board President to sign a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with the Town of Many.

G.    On motion by Donald Remedies and seconded by Daron Chandler, it was carried to authorize stipend for Substitute and Timesheet Employees.

H.    On motion by Donald Garcie and seconded by Genevieve Gordon, it was carried to approve and adopt policy GBCA – Protection of Criminal Background Information on first reading.

I.      On motion by Daron Chandler and seconded by Donald Garcie, it was carried to adopt policy IFCD – School Volunteers (includes Board Members) on first reading.
