1. Meeting Opening
The Parish School Board of Many, Louisiana Sabine Parish, met in public session on May 21, 20202 at 6:00 p.m. at the regular meeting place of said Board, with the following members present: Terrell Snelling, Board President, Daron Chandler, William D. Garcie, Genevieve Gordon, Kowonno Greene, and Donald Remedies.
Absent: Dr. Leah Byles, Vice President, Spencer Faust and Dale Skinner.
At 6:00 p.m., the regular meeting of the board began with a Call to Order by President Terrell D. Snelling. The Invocation was offered by Dr. Sara P. Ebarb and the Pledge of Allegiance was rendered.
2. Recognition of Visitors:
There were no visitors present.
3. Consent Agenda:
On motion by Donald Remedies and seconded by Genevieve Gordon, it was carried to approve the Consent Agenda as follows:
A. Approve and adopt the April 27, 2020 Minutes as signed;
B. Affirm and Approve Change Order 4 Zwolle Elementary School Addition;
C. Approve Promising Futures NYCP Year 4 Budget Revisions;
D. Approve Consent Agenda items 3A – 3D.
4. Regular Agenda
A. On motion by Donald Remedies and seconded by Daron Chandler, it was carried to approve and authorize to sign Change Order #5 for Zwolle Elementary Addition as presented.
B. After One-to-One Student to Device Ratio Presentation by Melissa Flowers, Director of Technology, on motion by Donald Remedies and seconded by Daron Chandler, it was carried to approve the educational plan for 2020-2021 as presented. This includes the funding plan as presented along with budget revisions necessary to move forward with purchasing the digital learning supplies, equipment, and methods as described and funded in the ways shown and discussed during the course of the meeting.
C. On motion by Daron Chandler and seconded by Donald Remedies, it was carried to approve the 2020-2021 Head Start Supplement Grant – COLA and Quality Improvement.
