The Parish School Board of Many, Louisiana, Sabine Parish, met in public session on March 13, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at the regular meeting place of said Board, with the following members present:  Terrell D. Snelling, President, James R. Martin, Vice-President, Roderick Davis, Spencer Faust, William D. Garcie, Daron Chandler, Dale Skinner, Dr. Leah Byles and Donald H. Remedies.

The meeting was called to order by President Terrell D. Snelling, the Invocation was offered, the Pledge of Allegiance was rendered and the President welcomed the visitors.

Absent:  None

Recognition and Presentation of Sabine Soil and Water Conservation District State Poster Contest Winners was given by Anita Manshack, Program Assistant.

On motion by Roderick Davis and seconded by Dr. Leah Byles, it was carried to approve the Consent Agenda as follows:

·                   Approval and Adoption of February 6, 2017, Special Called Meeting Minutes, as Signed

·                   Approval and Adoption of February 13, 2017, Minutes, as Signed

·                   Approval for Out-of-State Field Trip for 31 students and 3 adults from Ebarb High School to Lufkin, Texas on April 6, 2017

·                   Approval for Out-of-State Field Trip for 32 students and 4 adults from Converse High School to Lufkin, Texas on April 20, 2017

·                   Approval for Out-of-State Field Trip for 14 students and 4 adults from Negreet High School to Ft. Walton, Florida on June 10-14, 2017

·                   Approval for Out-of-State Field Trip for 25 students and 2 adults from Negreet High School to Galveston, Texas on April 28, 2017

On motion by James R. Martin and seconded by Daron Chandler, it was carried to adopt a Resolution to Allow for and Approve the Administration to Conduct a Public Auction.

On motion by Roderick Davis and seconded by James R. Martin, it was carried to Create a Capital Projects Committee and Appoint a Committee Membership.  The Membership Consists of Dr. Sara Ebarb, Rodney Wilson, Ron Williams, James R. Martin, Dale Skinner and Donald Remedies with the Chairman being Terrell Snelling

There was no business under the Superintendent’s Report, informational only.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
