The Parish School Board of Many, Louisiana, Sabine Parish, met in public session on March 14, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. at the regular meeting place of said Board, with the following members present: Terrell D. Snelling, President, James R. Martin, Vice-President, Leah Byles, Roderick Davis, Spencer Faust, William D. Garcie, Daron Chandler, and Donald H. Remedies.
The meeting was called to order by President Terrell D. Snelling, the Invocation was offered, the Pledge of Allegiance was rendered and the President welcomed the visitors.
Absent: Dale Skinner
Presentation of Bus Driver of the Year was given by Sandra Cosio on behalf of PCAL.
Presentation of the Sabine Parish Students of the Year was given by Shelly Rivers, Coordinator of Student Services and Dr. Sara Ebarb, Superintendent.
Brenda Hilton read a prepared statement before the Board regarding students crossing Parish lines. A discussion followed. Upon conclusion of the discussion no action was taken.
On motion by Roderick Davis and seconded by Donald H. Remedies, it was carried to approve the Consent Agenda as follows:
· Approval and Adoption of February 8, 2016 and February 25, 2016, Minutes, as Signed
· Approval for Out-of-State Field Trip:
A. Negreet High School – 11 students and 4 adults to Dallas, Texas on May 13-14, 2016, as a reward for the basketball team having a successful season
· Approval of the 2015-2016 8G Student Enhancement Block Grant Budget Revision #1
· Authorization of Board Officers, Superintendent, and Business Manager to Sign documents as Needed to Conduct Routine Business with Capital One Bank for Existing and Established Financial Accounts
· Approval and Adoption of the Following Revised Policies (First Reading)

On motion by Spencer Faust and seconded by Roderick Davis, it was carried to approve of Out-of-State Travel for 5 students and 3 adults from Many High School to attend the Tulsa Welding School in Houston, Texas on April 15-17, 2016. Monetary assistance requested.
On motion by Roderick Davis and seconded by Daron Chandler, it was carried to approve the Agreement between Many Healthcare North and Sabine Parish School Board to help evacuate residents from the nursing home in the event of an evacuation.
On motion by Donald H. Remedies and seconded by Roderick Davis, it was carried to move the April 11, 2016, Board Meeting at 5:30 p.m. to April 18, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. due to conflict with NSBA Annual Conference.
Presentation of Appraisals of Many Elementary School and Central Office was given by Rodney Wilson.
On motion by James R. Martin and seconded by Daron Chandler, it was carried to authorize the Superintendent to Execute a Future Change Order with Walker Construction as Prepared by Yeager, Watson & Associates in Regards to Adding Playground Equipment and Other Necessary Changes to the Existing Contract.
On motion by Roderick Davis and seconded by James R. Martin, it was carried to approve Declaration of Financial Exigency.
There was no business under the Superintendent’s report, informational only.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
