The Parish School Board of Many, Louisiana, Sabine Parish, met in public session on January 12, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. at the regular meeting place of said Board, with the following members present:  James R. Martin, President, Terrell D. Snelling, Vice-President, Roderick Davis, Spencer Faust, William D. Garcie, Daron Chandler, Donald H. Remedies, Dale Skinner, and J.A. "Buddy" Veuleman.

 

The meeting was called to order by President Martin, the Invocation was offered, the Pledge of Allegiance was rendered and the President welcomed the visitors.

 

Swearing- In Ceremony was conducted by Tammy Foster, Clerk of Court.

 

Absent:  None

 

On motion by Donald H. Remedies and seconded by Daron Chandler, it was carried to accept the Independent Auditors’ Financial Report presented by Mr. Brent Ballard

 

On motion by Dale Skinner and seconded by Terrell Snelling, it was carried to approve the Consent Agenda as follows:

 

·          Approval and Adoption of December 8, 2014, Minutes, as Signed

·          Review Revised Policies (First Reading)

 

A.    File:  DE, Debt Limitation

B.    File:  DFD, Tax and Bond Elections and Sales

C.    File:  DFL, Cash Management and Investments

D.    File:  DJE, Purchasing

 

On motion by Dale Skinner and seconded by Terrell Snelling, it was carried to approve for adoption the following Revised Policies:

 

A.    File:  GBRIB, Sick Leave

B.    File:  JBCE, Public School Choice

 

On motion by Roderick Davis and seconded by William D. Garcie, it was carried to accept the 2013-2014 Energy Profile Report prepared by Siemens Industry, Inc. and presented by Rodney Wilson.

 

Presentation of E-Rate changes were given by Missy Lee and Ron Williams (informational only, no action to be taken.)

 

On motion by Terrell Snelling and seconded by Donald H. Remedies, J.A. "Buddy" Veuleman was nominated for president.  There were no other nominations.

 

On motion by Dale Skinner and seconded by Donald H. Remedies, it was carried to cease nominations.

 

On motion by J.A. "Buddy" Veuleman and seconded by Roderick Davis, Terrell Snelling was nominated for vice-president.  There were no other nominations.

 

There was no business under the Superintendent’s Report, informational only.

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
