The Parish School Board met on September 23, 2013 at 6:30 P. M. for a Public Meeting to adopt the Millage Rates for the 2013 Tax Roll. This meeting was conducted at the regular meeting place of said Board at 695 Peterson Street, in Many, LA. The following members were present: J. A. “Buddy” Veuleman, President, Donald H. Remedies, Vice-President, Roderick Davis, Spencer Faust, William D. Garcie, Imon Jones, James R. Martin, Dale Skinner and Terrell Snelling.
Absent: None
The meeting was called to order by President Veuleman, the Invocation was offered, the Pledge of Allegiance was rendered, and the President welcomed the visitors.

On motion by James R. Martin and seconded by Donald H. Remedies, it was carried to approve the minutes of September 9, 2013.
On motion by Roderick Davis and seconded by Imon Jones, it was carried to approve the Consent Agenda as follows:
Ø Approval of the Revised Contract Between Louisiana DPS&C/Youth Services (YS) and the Sabine Parish School Board – Beginning Date, September 1, 2013-
Ending Date, June 30, 2014
Ø Approval of Revised School Food Service Bookkeeper/Clerk Job Description
Adopt the Millage Rate(s)
There were no comments during the public comment period.
On motion by Roderick Davis and seconded by Imon Jones the following resolution was adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the following millage(s) are hereby levied on the 2013 tax roll on all property subject to taxation by Sabine Parish School Board:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper administrative officials of the Parish of Sabine, State of Louisiana, be and they are hereby empowered, authorized, and directed to spread said taxes, as hereinabove set forth, upon the assessment roll of said Parish for the year 2013, and to make the collection of the taxes imposed for and on behalf of the taxing authority, according to law, and that the taxes herein levied shall become a permanent lien and privilege on all property subject to taxation as herein set forth, and collection thereof shall be enforceable in the manner provided by law.
The foregoing resolution was read in full, the roll was called on the adoption thereof, and the resolution was adopted by the following votes:
