The Parish School Board of Sabine Parish, Louisiana, met in public session on March 14, 2013, for a Special Called Meeting at Ebarb High School at 3:00 P. M.  The following members were present:  J. A. “Buddy” Veuleman, President, Donald H. Remedies, Vice-President, Roderick Davis, Spencer Faust, William D. Garcie, and Dale Skinner.

Absent:  Imon Jones, James R. Martin, and Terrell Snelling

On motion by William D. Garcie and seconded by Dale Skinner, it was carried to declare substantial completion on the new Agriculture Shop at Ebarb High School.

On motion by Donald H. Remedies and seconded by Dale Skinner, it was carried to authorize the Board President to sign an Amendment to Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the State of Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (Neighborhood Place) and the Sabine Parish School Board.

On motion by Donald H. Remedies and seconded by William D, Garcie, it was carried to authorize Dr. Sara P. Ebarb, Superintendent, to initiate, negotiate, and sign for grants between the Louisiana Department of Education and the Sabine Parish School Board. 

On motion by William D. Garcie, and seconded by Donald H. Remedies, it was carried to approve out-of-state travel for the first grade students at Negreet High School to visit the Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin, TX, on March 20, 2013.  There will be 39 students, 2 teachers and 2 interventionists attending.  Expenses will be paid by students and teachers.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
