The Parish School Board of Sabine Parish, Louisiana, met in public session on October 1, 2012, at 6:30 P.M. at the regular meeting place of said Board with the following members present:
J. A. “Buddy Veuleman , President, Terrell D. Snelling, Vice-President, Roderick Davis, Spencer Faust, William D. Garcie, Imon Jones, Donald H. Remedies, and Dale Skinner.
Absent: James R. Martin
The meeting was called to order by President Veuleman, the Invocation was offered, and the Pledge of Allegiance was rendered.
On motion by Dale Skinner and seconded by Roderick Davis, it was carried to approve the Consent Agenda as follows:
· Approval and Adoption of September 17, 2012, Minutes as Signed
· Review the Following Revised School Board Policy: First Reading
File: GBNA, Reduction of Personnel
· Approval of Out-of-State Travel
CHS Pre-K field trip to the Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin, TX on 11/02/12
On motion by Dale Skinner and seconded by Terrell Snelling, it was carried to accept the Technology Department’s recommendation for awarding the bids for refurnished computers to CNB Computers, Inc. bid package; options 1-4 for desktop computers and options 1-3 for laptop computers

On motion by William D. Garcie, and seconded by Terrell Snelling, it was carried to authorize the President of the Board to sign an Oil and Gas Division Order with Comstock Oil and Gas -LP Division, for property located in Section 36-08N-14W-BHL.
On motion by Terrell Snelling and seconded by Donald H. Remedies, it was carried to approve Out-of State travel and monetary assistance for five (6=5) Converse High School FFA members and the Advisor to travel to Indianapolis, Indiana, to attend the National FFA Convention on October 23-27, 2012.
On motion by William D. Garcie and seconded by Terrell Snelling, it was carried to approve Change Order #1 (ONE) for the new Ag Shop at Ebarb High School.
The Superintendent’s Report was informational only, no action was taken.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
