The Parish School Board of Sabine Parish, Louisiana, met in public session on July 12, 2012, at 6:30 P. M. for a Special Called Board Meeting place of said Board, with the following members present: 

J. A. “Buddy” Veuleman, President, Terrell D. Snelling, Vice-President, Spencer Faust, William D. Garcie, James R. Martin, Donald H. Remedies, and Roderick Davis.

Absent:   Imon Jones and Dale Skinner 

The meeting was called to order by President Veuleman, the Invocation was offered and the Pledge of Allegiance was rendered. 

President J.A. “Buddy” Veuleman appointed James R. Martin and Terrell D. Snelling to the Technology committee.

On a motion by William D. Garcie and seconded by Donald H. Remedies, it was carried to award the bid for construction of a new agriculture shop at Ebarb High School to Phillip Mayo Construction to include the base bid, plus Alternate #1 and Alternate #3.

Bids received were:

On a motion by James R. Martin and seconded by Terrell D. Snelling, it was carried to award canned, frozen and produce items to SYSCO of East Texas; award the bid for bread to SYSCO of East Texas; award the bid for paper and cleaning supplies to Sayes of Alexandria for the period of July 15, 2012 to December 31, 2012; and the bid for milk to Oak Farms for the period of July 15, 2012 through June 30, 2013. 

On a motion by James R. Martin and seconded by William D. Garcie, it was carried to authorize the Superintendent to accept employee resignations.

The Superintendent’s Report was information only, no action was taken.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
