The Parish School Board of Sabine Parish, Louisiana, met in public session on September 13, 2011, at 5:00 P. M. for a Special Called Meeting, at the regular meeting place of said Board, with the following Board Members Present:  J. A. “Buddy” Veuleman, President, Terrell D. Snelling, Vice President, Roderick Davis, Spencer Faust, William D. Garcie, Imon Jones, Donald H. Remedies, Dale Skinner, and Denyse Williams.

All members were present for this meeting.   

The meeting was called to order by the President, the Invocation was offered and the Pledge of Allegiance was rendered.

This meeting was called for second round of interview sessions with final candidates for Superintendent of Sabine Parish Schools.

On motion by William D. Garcie and seconded by Imon Jones, it was carried to enter into executive session pursuant to R. S. 42:17(A(1).

Interviews in executive session:

Dr. Sara Ebarb

Mr. Eddie Jones, Jr.

Mr. Marion A. Chapman

On motion by Roderick Davis and seconded by Donald H. Remedies, it was carried to reconvene into regular session.

The Board Members voted unanimously, by ballot, for Dr. Sara Ebarb.

Dr. Sara Peace Ebarb will be the Superintendent of Sabine Parish Schools, contingent on a successful negotiation of a contract.  This contract will be presented to the full Board for ratification at the next School Board Meeting which will be on September 19, 2011 at 6:30 P. M.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
