The Parish School Board of Sabine Parish, Louisiana, met in public session on August 1,2011, at 6:30 P. M., at the regular meeting place of said Board, with the following members present:  J. A. "Buddy" Veuleman, President, Terrell D. Snelling, Vice-President, Roderick Davis, Spencer Faust, William D. Garcie, Imon Jones, Donald H. Remedies, Dale Skinner, and Denyse Williams.

 

All members were present at this meeting. 

 

The meeting was called to order by the President, the Invocation was offered, and the Pledge of Allegiance was rendered. 

 

On motion by Roderick Davis and seconded by Donald Remedies, it was carried to amend the agenda in order to consider a change order for Many High School Track, contingent upon legal review.  This was approved unamiously and added as Item IV. A.

 

On motion by Imon Jones and seconded by Roderick Davis, it was carried to approve the Consent Agenda as corrected on Item III. E.  Reassignment should read:  Moses Curtis from PE/Head Football Coach to Assistant Principal at Many High School, effective

August 1, 2011.

The Special Revenue Funds Budgets were presented by Robert Lewis, Business Manager.

 

On motion by Imon Jones and seconded by Spencer Faust, it was carried for the Administration to publish a summary of the Special Revenue Funds in The Sabine Index.

 

On motion by Roderick Davis and seconded by Denyse Williams, it was carried to approve a Change Order for the Many High School Track, contingent upon legal review.   

 

There was no action on engaging a professional to address Attendance Zone Boundaries.

 

On motion by Terrell Snelling and seconded by Roderick Davis, it was carried to approve the Pupil Progression Plan for SY 2011-2012, with the exception that the value for the EOC test be reduced to 15% of the total grade.

 

No action was taken on the Superintendent Selection Process.

 

An Executive Session was on the Agenda, if needed.  None was needed. 

 

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
