The Sabine Parish School Board of Sabine Parish, Louisiana, met in public session on July 6, 2010, at 6:30 P. M. at the regular meeting place of said Board with the following members present:  Imon Jones, President, Denyse Williams, Vice-President, Roderick Davis, James W. House, Jack Sanders, Donnie F. Sistrunk, Sr., Harold Stewart, J. A. “Buddy” Veuleman, and J. Randall Veuleman.

Absent:  None

The meeting was called to order by the President, the Invocation was offered and the Pledge of Allegiance was rendered. 

On motion by Denyse Williams and seconded by Roderick Davis, it was carried to approve the Consent Agenda as follows:

• Approval and Adoption of June 21, 2010, Minutes, as Signed

• Review Revised Policy File:  JGB, School Wellness, First Reading

• Approval of 2010-2011 REAP Grant Application and Budget

• Approval of Reallocation of Title I Funds Budget FY 09

On motion by Roderick Davis and seconded by Jack Sanders, it was carried to approve and adopt the following School Board Policies:

A.  File:  DFI, Lease of School Lands (Revised) Second Reading

B.  File:  IBB, Comprehensive Learning Support System (New) Second Reading

On motion by J. A. “Buddy” Veuleman and seconded by Harold Stewart, it was carried to accept the bid of Jim’s South Propane & Butane at $1.59 per gallon for the Ebarb and Negreet Schools for 2010-2011 SY, due to the fact that this is a firm price for the year and Amerigas’ bid price ($.40 per gallon above Market Index) would fluctuate.

On motion by Jack Sanders and seconded by Harold Stewart, it was carried to employ the following Principals effective August 2, 2010 for a two (2) year contract:

A.  Cynthia Lewing - Ebarb High School

B.  Tanya Settle - Many Elementary School

C.  Carole Troha - Pleasant Hill High School
